摘 要:突飞猛进的社会发展向大学英语教学发出了挑战,为了改变教学同社会需求不相适应的现状,当务之急是探索能与时俱进的教学模式。本文展示一个基于大学英语教学现状分析、理论研究和课堂实验基础上的教学模式:互动应用型英语教学模式。该模式旨在重新培育大学英语教学中师生的作用,从而促进课堂互动、信息交流,同时帮助学生习得作为副产品的语言知识和语言应用能力。实验证明该模式改变了师生作用和语言学习机制;在操作上实用可行,具有在我国大学推广和进一步试验的可能性。The learning and teaching of English as a foreign language at college in China is increasingly challenged by ever-growing society, with its models critically reexamined and questioned. It is imperative that exploration be made into an up-to-date model to meet the transformations and challenges. This paper presents a practicable model called Interaction-based Productive English Learning (IBPEL), which grew out of the critical analysis of the status quo, the theoretical exploration of literature and the practical experiment in the classroom. The model was intended to reshape the teacher's and learner's roles in the classroom which could nurture communicative interaction for the whole class to share knowledge and information, with language knowledge and skills picked up as a by-product of the interactive process. In the experiment the model was found to have transformed the teacher, learner and language learning mechanism. Proved acceptable, practicable and manageable, the model possesses potential to be introduced and experimented at college on a wide scale in China.
