顺应视角下《无声告白》汉译本分析

摘　　要：《无声告白》是华裔女作家伍绮诗的代表作,其中融合了种族、性别、家庭、伦理、教育等诸多矛盾,是一本非常优秀的教育类文学著作,具有重要的文学价值与现实意义。对该汉译本的研究有助于国人了解海外华人的成长环境及现状,反思自身教育,摆脱“他者”烙印。《无声告白》作为一本典型的现实主义小说,鲜活的人物形象是其广受欢迎的关键要素,语境又是影响人物角色呈现的重要因素。而顺应论认为语境是翻译中最重要的因素。因此,本文以顺应论为视角,采用描述性的方法与案例分析的办法,从语言语境顺应与交际语境顺应两大角度来分析孙璐的译作《无声告白》,探究语境顺应论对翻译实践和研究的指导作用,研究该译本如何在不同的语境下根据不同人物的社会背景、性格、情绪、目的、姿态等突出人物特点,塑造出鲜明的人物形象,凸显文学价值,为文学翻译实践提供有益借鉴。Everything I Never Told You is a masterpiece of Wu Qishi, a Chinese-American female writer. It com-bines many contradictions such as race, gender, family, ethics, and education, and is an excellent educational work with important literary value and practical significance. The study of this Chinese translation will help Chinese people to understand the growing environment and current situation of overseas Chinese, reflect on our own education, and get rid of the stigma of “otherness”. As a typi-cal realistic novel, the vivid characters of Everything I Never Told You are the key elements of its popularity, and the context is an important factor affecting the presentation of the characters’ roles. And the adaptation theory believes that context is the most important factor in translation. There-fore, this paper analyzes Sun Lu’s translation of Everything I Never Told You from linguistic adapta-tion and communicative adaptation. It adopts descriptive method and case study approach to ex-plore the guiding role of adaptation theory in translation practice and research. It studies how the translation highlights the characters’ characteristics in different contexts according to the social backgrounds, personalities, moods, purposes and postures of the different characters and provides useful reference for literary translation by shaping distinctive character images and highlighting literary values.
