生态翻译学视角下中国影视剧《梦华录》英文字幕翻译研究

摘　　要：本研究从生态翻译理论的视角出发,研究Youtube平台上中国电视剧《梦华录》的英文字幕翻译质量。通过从语言、文化和交际三个角度对选定的翻译例子进行定性研究,本文探讨字幕翻译质量如何影响观众对该剧的理解、情感投入以及跨文化接受度。本研究发现,高质量的字幕翻译能够增强观众的理解和情感投入,从而提高影视作品在国际传播中的影响力和竞争力。本研究旨在为生态翻译理论在影视字幕翻译中的应用提供实证支持,丰富跨文化翻译研究的内容,为中国影视作品的国际传播提供有益参考。通过对《梦华录》字幕翻译的研究,本文揭示了翻译在促进跨文化交流中的重要作用,为讲好中国故事,促进中国影视剧出海,加深跨文化理解做出贡献。Informed by ecological translation theory, this study explores the English subtitle translation for the Chinese television drama “A Dream of Splendor” on digital platforms. By conducting a qualitative analysis of selected translation examples from linguistic, cultural, and communicative dimensions, this paper examines how the quality of subtitle translation influences viewers’ comprehension, emotional engagement, and cross-cultural acceptance of the drama. The findings suggest that high-quality subtitle translation could enhance viewers’ understanding and emotional involvement, thereby elevating the international impact and competitiveness of the film and TV drama. This study enriches the body of research on cross-cultural translation to provide empirical support for ecological translation theory in film and television subtitle translation. It offers valuable insights for the international dissemination of Chinese cinematic and television works. This paper contributes to research in translation that facilitates cross-cultural communication, facilitates the compelling narration of China’s stories, promotes Chinese TV dramas overseas, and deepens cross-cultural understanding.
