交际翻译理论指导下的体育新闻翻译——以“中国元素”闪耀卡塔尔世界杯相关报道为例  

Sports News Translation under the Guidance of Communicative Translation Theory—A Case Study of “Chinese Elements” Shining on Qatar World Cup Related Reports

摘  要:随着全球化及体育事业发展,体育新闻翻译在跨文化交流中至关重要。本文以彼得·纽马克交际翻译理论为基础,将其应用于卡塔尔世界杯“中国元素”相关报道的翻译,采用意译等方法进一步提升译文的可读性。研究表明,体育新闻翻译应考虑文化差异与特定术语,运用该理论可更好传递信息;加入中国元素可丰富内容、体现中国影响力;翻译时需保持核心信息与语义一致,全面理解背景知识,注意语言风格的转换适应。本文为体育新闻翻译提供参考,亦为交际翻译理论在其他领域的应用开拓新思路。With the development of globalization and the sports industry, sports news translation is extremely important in cross-cultural communication. Based on Peter Newmark’s communicative translation theory, this paper applies it to the translation of reports related to “Chinese elements” in the Qatar World Cup and uses methods such as free translation to further improve the readability of the translation. Research shows that sports news translation should consider cultural differences and specific terms. Applying this theory can better convey information;adding Chinese elements can enrich the content and reflect China’s influence;when translating, it is necessary to maintain consistency between core information and semantics, fully understand background knowledge, and pay attention to the adaptation of language style. This paper provides a reference for sports news translation and also opens up new ideas for the application of communicative translation theory in other fields.
