摘 要:本文以Laura Zigman的畅销小说《小世界》的汉译本为研究案例,深入探讨了接受美学在文学翻译实践中的具体应用及其价值。研究从接受美学的角度出发,对小说的主题、目标读者群体进行了探讨,并对其词汇、句法和文体层面的翻译方法和策略进行了细致的分析。译者在词汇选择上应注意精确性和适宜性,灵活运用增译、汉语四字结构等翻译技巧。同时,可对句法结构进行创新性调整,以求在目标语言中复现原作的美学特质并遵守语法规范。研究表明接受美学在文学翻译实践中具有重要的应用价值,对于产出高质量的翻译作品至关重要。This study takes the Chinese translation of Laura Zigman’s best-selling novel, Small World, as a case study to probe into the application and value of reception aesthetics in literary translation practice. From the perspective of reception aesthetics, the research explores the novel’s themes and the target readers and further conducts a detailed analysis of its translation methods and strategies at the lexical, syntactic, and stylistic levels. Translators should pay attention to precision and appropriateness in lexical selection, employing flexible translation techniques such as amplification and the four-character structure of Chinese. Furthermore, innovative adjustments can be made in syntactic structures to reproduce the aesthetic qualities of the original work and adhere to its grammatical norms in the target language. The study demonstrates the practical value of reception aesthetics in literary translation, which is crucial for producing high-quality translation works.
