摘　　要：电影字幕翻译作为跨语言和跨文化传播的重要手段,面临着语言障碍和多模态语篇特性的挑战。本文探讨了字幕翻译中语调补偿策略的应用,重点关注语调的三大功能——表态功能、语法功能和聚焦功能——在字幕翻译中的补偿问题。结合J. C. Wells的语调功能分类,本文采用ToBI语调标注方法对影视对白的语调进行分析,揭示了语调在传递情感、明确语法结构和突出信息焦点中的关键作用。通过对《老友记》这一经典影视作品字幕翻译的案例分析,本文总结了字幕翻译中适应多模态语篇特性的具体策略,为如何有效再现语调语用功能提供了可操作性建议。研究发现,表态功能的补偿主要通过感叹号和语气词等书面符号增强情感传递力;语法功能则通过标点符号和句式调整补偿语调在句法逻辑中的作用;聚焦功能则通过词汇选择和句子重组再现语调对核心信息的强调效果。本研究不仅丰富了字幕翻译理论,也为提升字幕翻译实践的质量提供了参考。As an essential medium for cross-linguistic and cross-cultural communication, film subtitle translation faces challenges stemming from language barriers and the multimodal nature of discourse. This paper explores the application of intonation compensatory strategies in subtitle translation, focusing on the compensation of intonation’s three main functions: attitudinal, grammatical, and focusing functions. Based on J. C. Wells’ classification of intonation functions, this study employs the ToBI intonation annotation system to analyze the intonation patterns in film dialogues, revealing the critical role of intonation in conveying emotions, clarifying syntactic structures, and highlighting focal information.
