摘 要:本文以许渊冲和杨宪益、戴乃迭的《前赤壁赋》英译本为研究对象,采用匈牙利学者Klaudy提出的显化类型划分,以强制性显化、选择性显化和语用性显化作为切入点,探讨显化作为一种重要的翻译策略在中国古代文赋翻译中的跨文化交流应用。通过对比分析两个英译本的显化策略,发现许渊冲先生在语用性显化方面表现得更加优异。显化策略在传递文赋中隐含的文化信息、实现文化补偿以及推动跨文化交流方面具有显著作用。因此,译者不仅需要具备扎实的双语能力,还需对文赋进行深入理解,以便在翻译过程中有效地显化缺失信息,从而提升目标读者对文赋的理解,实现跨文化交流。This paper focuses on the translations of The First Ode on the Red Cliff by Xu Yuanchong and Yang Xianyi and Gladys Tayler, using the explicitation classification proposed by the Hungarian scholar Klaudy as the analytical framework. This study explores the application of explicitation as a crucial translation strategy in the intercultural communication of the ancient Chinese literary style of Fu. By comparing and analyzing the explicitation strategies employed in the two English translations, it is found that Mr. Xu Yuanchong excels more in pragmatic explicitation. The explicitation strategy plays a significant role in conveying the implicit cultural information in the literary style of fu, achieving cultural compensation, and promoting cross-cultural communication. Therefore, translators need not only to have a solid command of both languages but also to have an in-depth understanding of the literary style of fu. This enables them to effectively make explicit the missing information during the translation process, thereby enhancing the target readers’ comprehension of the works and facilitating cross-cultural communication.
