Research on the Cultivation Pathway of Postgraduates’ Academic English Competence—Taking China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing as an Example

摘  要:随着我国高等教育国际化的不断发展和国际学术交流的日益深入,学术英语能力培养的重要性日益凸显。然而,目前非英语专业研究生英语教学普遍存在着教学定位传统、教学实施“一刀切”、教学体系乏新、教学模式单一、教学评价片面、教学资源不足等问题。针对这些问题,本研究基于中国矿业大学(北京)研究生英语教学改革与实践,着重探讨研究生学术英语能力的培养,提出了相应的培养路径:提升教学定位、推进分层教学、优化课程设置、更新教学模式、改进教学评价、丰富教学资源。本研究对提升研究生英语教学效果和学生的学术英语能力均有一定的积极作用。With the continuous development of higher education internationalization and the deepening of international academic exchanges, the cultivation of academic English competence becomes increasingly important. However, there are problems in English teaching of non-English major post-graduates, such as traditional teaching orientation, one-size-fits-all teaching implementation, out-dated teaching system, single teaching mode, one-sided teaching evaluation, and insufficient teaching resources. To solve these problems, this study focuses on exploring the cultivation of postgraduates’ academic English competence based on the reform and practice of English teaching in China University of Mining and Technology-Beijing, and proposes the corresponding pathway: improving teaching orientation, promoting graded teaching, optimizing curriculum design, updating teaching model, improving teaching evaluation, and enriching teaching resources. This study plays a positive role in improving the effect of postgraduate English teaching and students’ academic English competence.
