The study takes into consideration the various risk factors such as age, sex, and diabetes mellitus which can precipitate a urinary tract infection. The study was conducted at the Global Baroda Hospital, Vadodara and Narhari Hospital, Vadodara in the duration from January to March 2012, under the supervision of Dr. Hiten Kareliya. A questionnaire was prepared in accordance to evaluate risk factors of urinary tract infection. The patients under study were chosen according to specific inclusion criteria.
