Let R be a prime ring of characteristic different from two with the second involution∗andαan automorphism of R.An additive mapping F of R is called a generalized(α,α)-derivation on R if there exists an(α,α)-deriv...

In the present paper,we have discussed the commutativity of prime rings and extended some well known results concerning derivation and generalized derivations to b-generalized derivations.

Firstly, the commutativity of rings is investigated in this paper.Let R be a ring with identity. Then we obtain the following commutativity conditions:(1)if for each x∈R\N(R)and each y∈R,(xy)^(k)=x^(k)y^(k)for k=m,m+1...
In this paper we investigate commutativity of prime rings with involution*of the second kind in which endomorphisms satisfy certain algebraic identities.Furthermore,we provide examples to show that the various restric...
Sum of two nilpotent elements in a ring may not be nilpotent in general, but for commutative rings this sum is nilpotent. In between commutative and non-commutative rings there are several types of rings in which this...

Let p be a prime number and f_2(G) be the number of factorizations G = AB of the group G, where A, B are subgroups of G. Let G be a class of finite p-groups as follows,G = a, b | a^(p^n)= b^(p^m)= 1, a^b= a^(p^(n-1)+1...
In this paper, it is defined that left *-α-derivation, generalized left *-α-derivation and *-α-derivation, generalized *-α-derivation of a *-ring where α is a homomorphism. The results which proved for generalize...

Let X be a Banach space of dimension ≥ 2 over the real or complex field F and A a standard operator algebra in B(X). A map Ф : A→A is said to be strong 3-commutativity preserving if [Ф(A), Ф(B)]a = [A, B]3...

In this paper, we characterize the symbols for (semi-)commuting dual Toeplitz operators on the orthogonal complement of the harmonic Dirichlet space. We show that for φ ,ψ ∈ W1, ∞, SφSψ = SψSφ on (Dh)⊥ if...

Let R be a unital *-ring with the unit I. Assume that R contains a symmetric idempotent P which satisfies ARP= 0 implies A = 0 and AR(I - P) = 0 implies A = 0. In this paper, it is shown that a surjective map Ф:...
