摘　　要：四字成语是汉语的精华,它们反映了重和谐、重均衡、重匀称、重有序的汉民族文化心理。异化翻译给汉语成语带来的影响,绝不仅仅在于从国外输入了新语汇,更在于对于中国成语结构的冲击以及由此导致的中国人思维方式的改变。在当代中国语境下,译者应该对祖国的语言负责,对祖国的文化负责。Four-character idioms are the cream of the Chinese language and they are represen- tations of the cultural mentality of the Chinese nation: emphasis on harmony, balance, symmetry and order. The impact of foreignization on Chinese idioms lies not only in exotic expressions but also in the four-character structure and the way of thinking of the Chinese people. In contemporary China, translators should be responsible for the Chinese language and the Chinese culture as well.
