摘　　要：双语词典词目释义离不开翻译。这种语言符号间的对应物直接影响到词典的质量。研究汉英语文词典释义方式有助于提高词典编纂水平,为词典评论提供依据。汉英语文词典词目翻译有自己的特点,词目翻译也有相应的规律。以现有的大型汉英词典词目对应词为例子,归纳出词目翻译的一些常用方法,并提出词目翻译的评价标准。Defining an entry in a bilingual dictionary is translating the entry.The choices of translation equivalents determine quality of the whole dictionary.Studies on entry translation in Chinese-English dictionaries gives guidance for better dictionaries of this kind,and offers criteria for dictionary evaluation.Entry translation in bilingual language dictionaries has specific features and common practices.Common practices are discussed with examples selected from the most authoritative Chinese-English dictionar...
