摘　　要：文章从素质教育的涵义出发,结合现代远程教育的本质特征和英语教育的特殊性,探讨了远程英语素质教育的涵义和特性,分析了目前远程英语素质教育存在的问题,并探讨了如何在远程教育的环境下,拓展学生英语素质教育。Based on the connotation of quality-oriented education,and the features and specialties of English education,this paper discusses the connotation and features of distance English education,and the ex isting problems occurring in distance English-oriented education.Also,it addresses how to improve the students' quality-oriented education in the distance education environment.
