摘　　要：宇文所安对中国文学的研究不是"新批评"的"细读",而是一种跨文化阐释。这种阐释不采用某一种特定的西方理论和方法,而是以自己的文化视角和思维习惯为基础,来对中国文学作品进行深入细致的解读。它是一种生命体验和理性思维并重的跨文化阐释模式。生命体验和理性思维的并重一方面使得理性分析有了更多的感性内容和具体针对性,另一方面也使得感性体悟具备了充分展开的空间。宇文所安的跨文化阐释模式是与美国汉学发展的新方向相一致的。它可以突破"区域研究"的限定,使汉学进入比较文学的研究领域;它能够使中国文学产生超越民族、国家界限的普遍价值,并有可能被更广泛的西方读者所理解、所接受。The study on Chinese literature made by Stephen Owen does not apply 'Close Reading' used by the 'New Critics' but rather,a sort of cross-cultural interpretation.Instead of applying a particular Western theory and approach,this interpretation conducts deep and detailed explanations of Chinese literary works on the basis of its own cultural perspective and thinking habit.It's a mode of focusing both on the life experience and rational thinking.This mode can not only enrich more sensitive and specific contents of theoretic analysis but also obtain fully developed space for perceptive understanding.The mode of cross-cultural interpretation adopted by Owen keeps consistent with the new tendency of the development of American Sinology.It will endow Chinese literature with universal value of crossing the boundaries of nations and countries,and is easy to be widely received and comprehended by the broader Western reading public.
