摘 要:动机是影响英语学习的一个关键因素.运用定量研究的方法,对天水师范学院专业和非英语专业大学生学习动机与性别和年级的关系进行了调查分析,对比研究结果发现:天水师范学院大学生英语学习动机总体状况良好,与非英语专业相比,英语专业大学生英语学习动机总体强度不高,还需进一步提高;英语专业男生的学习动机高于非英语专业,但英语专业女生的内在动机和外在动机都低于非英语专业女生;英语专业一年级和二年级学生学习动机分别高于非英语专业一年级和二年级,但英语专业二年级学生的内在动机低于非英语专业二年级的内在动机.根据研究现状,对提高本校大学生大学生英语学习动机提出了建议.Learning motivation is one of very important factors of influencing English learning.The relations between English major and non-major students’learning motivation and the gender and grade in Tianshui normal university were made by the quantitative analysis method in this paper.The result showed that students’English learning motivation was good in general.Compared with students of non-major English,English major students’ learning motivation was not so stronger that they needed to improve it.Learning motivation of the English major male students of was higher than that of non-major English students,and intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation of the English major female students were lower than that of non-major English female students.Meanwhile,learning motivation of English major students in grade one and grade two was higher than that of non-major English students,however,English major students’intrinsic motivation in grade was lower than that of non-major English students in grade two.Based on the current situations,some suggestions had been offered to improve the college students’ English learning motivation.
