摘 要:对外汉语教材中的生词表是第二语言学习者学习词汇的主要依据。生词表如编译不当,会对学习者产生误导,增加他们学习的难度。本文从汉语词语的结构特征、汉英词语差异以及词汇教学法、教材设计和翻译理论等几个角度,通过对生词表编译中的三个步骤——词条选立、义项选择、词语英译的分析,指出目前我国部分对外汉语教材生词表编译中的问题,并就如何改进提出了具体的建议。The “new words”section in TCFL textbooks is of great importance to students in their learning of Chinese vocabulary,and if compiled and translated inappropriately,can be misleading and hence add to the difficulties in their learning process.Examining the matter from various angles,such as Chinese morphology,vocabulary teaching methodology,lexical differences between Chinese and English,textbook designing and theories of translation,this article analyzes the three steps in the compilation and translation of the “new words”section,i.e. entry selection,sense ascertaining and translation.It points out the problems existing in some TCFL textbooks and offers suggestions for improvement.
