倍数、百分数的表达问题

摘　　要：While reading China daily and Beijing Review to choose some materials for students’composition, the author found some problems worth discussing. The author collects some specificsentences, gives suggested corrections and makes explanations with a good will intention thenewspaper and the magazine will be run even better and will make new contributions to the publicizing of China. The author sums up his opinion as follows:a. use per cent to express a net increase,b. use x times or x folds to express an increase which includes the original one fold,and c.use increase by, go up by, rise by, drop by, go down by, etc. +per cent or a number to indicatethe net increase or decrease rather than simply increase,go up,rise,drop,go down, etc+per cent,or a number.
