摘　　要：《诗经·关雎》的英译长沙电力学院研究员李贻荫ＥｎｇｌｉｓｈＴｒａｎｓｌａｔｉｏｎｏｆＫＷＡＮＣＨ’Ｕ（ｏｒＴｈｅＣｏｏｉｎｇ）ｉｎＴｈｅＢｏｏｋｏｆＰｏｅｔｒｙ￥ｂｙＬｉＹｉｙｉｎ，ｐ．１６Ａｂｓｔｒａｃｔ：Ｔｈｉｓｐａｐｅｒｉｓａｃｏｍｐａｒａｔｉ...This paper is a comparative study between five English translations of KWAN CH’U in the Book of Poetry.They are:①Arthur Waleys version quoted from A Comparative Study on English tranalation from Chinese Poetry by Lu Shuxiang,published by Shanghai Foreign Languages Education Publishing House.②Yang Xianyi and Gladys Yang’s version,quoted from Selections from the“Book of Songs”,Panda Books,Beijing,1984.③Arthur Coopers Version,quoted from Li Po and Tu Fu,Penguin Classics,1985.④X.Y.Z's version.,quoted from Book of Poetry,published by Hunan Publishing House,1992.⑤Wang Rongpei and Ren Xiuhua's version,quoted from the Book of Poetry ,published by Liaoning Education Publishing House,1995.Special emphasis is laid on Arthur Cooper’s “song-words rendering”,translated equisyllabically(one English syllable for one Chinese character)to the tune of the music,with a modern stave.
