摘　　要：语序不仅能起语法作用,而且能传达意义,同一概念意义的若干句子会因各自语序的不同而产生一定的语义差异。本文从论述英语中语序变化的语义差异出发,阐明了在翻译中运用具有同等语义功能的汉语语序的重要性;同时,作者通过对英汉语序的比较与分析,归纳出英汉语序的异同和英汉语序在句中的常位与殊位以及在翻译中英汉语序等效转换的两种基本方法:同位转换与同序转换。After a discussion on the semantic differences caused by word order between the English ori-ginal and the Chinese translation, this article expatiates on the importance of using the Chineseword order which has the equivalent semantic function in translation. A summary of the similarityand difference in word order between the two languages is followed by two suggested ways of trans-forming English word order into Chinese translation.
