摘　　要：一、引言 自从1775年第一部现代英语词典(二十卷)Dictionary of the English Language (SamuelJohnson)问世以来,各种词典相继涌现,应有尽有,既包括Oxford English Dictionary,Webster’s NewWorld Dictionary of the American language这样大型权威的英语、美语词典,也有如Oxford AdvancedLearner’s Dictionary of Current English、Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English《英华大词典》《英汉大词典》等教学型中型词典,不胜枚举。汉英词典中,如《汉英词典》(商务)The experimental results show that the features originally possessed by the English-Chinese Dictionary chosen were retained, and the Chinese-English dictionary autogenerated displayed distinguished peculiarities, which the present Chinese-English dictionaries on sale hardly possess. Only if the language material chosen is sufficient and reliable, a Chinese-English dictionary of an entirely new type with u-nique characteristics is certain to be autogenerated.
