Evaluation of the effect of bilingual teaching in the course of Introduction of General Practice (GP) for the clinical medical undergraduates

摘  要:目的 了解医学本科生对全科医学概论双语教学的评价。方法 问卷调查临床医学专业 2 0 0 2级参与全科医学概论课学习的医学本科生 98人 ,并辅以专题小组访谈等。结果 认为有必要开展双语教学的学生占被调查学生总数的 6 1 2 % ;能够听懂 80 %以上授课内容者占学生总数的 31 6 % ,37 8%的学生表示仅能听懂 6 0 %以下的内容 ;大部分学生 (76 5 %和 6 9 4 % )认为双语教学对提高专业英语水平和英语听力水平有帮助 ;认为双语教学不利于知识的掌握、学时较多、原版教材价格较高的学生 ,分别占学生总数的 32 7%、 2 0 4 %和 73 5 %。结论 双语教学有助于提高专业英语和英语听力水平 ,对医学本科生开展双语教学很有必要 ;双语教学的开展 ,不能一哄而上 ,应以学生为中心 ,逐步开展 ;针对双语教学的师资培训应受到重视。Objective To understand the effect of bilingual teaching in the course of Introduction of General Practice (GP) for the clinical medical undergraduates.Methods There were totally 98 clinical medical undergraduates selected to respond the questionnaire.The method of Focus Group Discussion had been used in this study.Results 61.2% of the students thought bilingual teaching was necessary for them,31.6% said they could understand over 80% of the teaching,37.8% said they could understand less than 60% of the teaching,and most of them said bilingual teaching could help them to improve their professional English capability (76.5% of the students) and English listening level (69.4% of the students).The rates of the students,who said the bilingual teaching didn′t bennifit for their study,more teaching hours and higher price of original edition textbook,were 32.7%,20.4% and 73.5% respectively.Conclusion Bilingual teaching can help the medical students advance their professional English and English listening level.It is necessary for the clinical medical undergraduates to have bilingual teaching classes.The course of bilingual teaching for medical undergraduates should be student-oriented and go on step by step,and the training of the teachers who will give the course of bilingual should be paid much attention to.
