摘　　要：本文分析了新时期普通高校英语教育质量标准正确定位的必要性 ,从重构英语教育体系、加强教育教学改革、建立良好的英语教育环境几个方面提出了普通高校加强学生英语应用能力培养 ,提高英语教育质量的途径和措施。This paper analyses the importance of the proper orientation for the quality standard of English education in average colleges at present .It provides the methods and measures for further English education in average colleges basing on the study of reestablishing English education system and reinforcing innovation on teaching and building good environment for English education, etc.
