摘　　要：性别歧视现象是学术界关注已久的话题,有关研究正在向纵深发展。大量的例证说明英语词汇中存在性别歧视的问题,分析这一问题产生的原因和探讨纠正性别歧视的方法对跨文化交流和语言翻译有着重要作用。Scholars have paid much attention to the issue of sexism. The research of it is being done more widely and deeply. Based on a lot of examples, this article gives a vivid description of the phenomenon existing in English vocabulary. A research for the reasons and the ways to correct it will have a deep significance in cross-culture communication and translation.
