摘　　要：介绍4种国外主要的教育资源元数据标准:IEEE LOM、DCEd、GEM、ADL/SCORM;从结构体系、元素繁简、描述能力、扩展规则、互操作性等多方面对它们进行比较、分析,指出在元数据规范创建过程中,需要注意尽量借鉴已有的高质量之数据标准;元素的设置应宜简不宜繁;元数据标准要具备良好的扩展能力和互操性等。Educational resource metadata achieves classification, management, review and sharing of educational resources(or learning objects) by describing their related properties. We briefly discussed educational resource metadata and its development. Four foreign educational metadata standards: IEEE LOM, DCED, GEM and ADL/SCORM are introduced from aspects of their structures, elements, description ability, extensibility and interoperability. In addition, this paper also mentions the problem on choosing metadata standard.
