摘　　要：雅俗之辨是中国古代文化史上的重要议题之一。对包括柳永词在内的任何艺术形式的雅俗之辨的首要前提要求论者指出雅与俗范畴的真正涵义及其所持的价值尺度 ,以此为基础方可勾画出所论艺术形式雅俗的真实图景。雅俗关系的历史特征是传统与嬗变的对立统一。Argument over refinement and popularity was an important topic for discussion in Chinese cultural history.The argument over refinement and popularity of any form of art including poems by Liu Yong must be predicated on the real implication of refinement and pupularity of the arguer and the values he holds up. The historic characteristic of the relationship between refinement and popularity is the unity of opposites of tradition and revolution .As a result ,whether to establish a new standard for examining human culture on the basis of new values of aesthetic judgement or not will become a theoretical subject on explaining values of refinement and popularity at present.
