摘　　要：成人教育中的报刊英语教学对提高学生综合语言能力起到很重要的作用。因此阅读理解报刊新闻英语的能力被视为成人教育中成功习得英语的必要手段之一。本文首先讨论成人学生在报刊英语学习中遇到的困难,然后指出教师在开展教学活动中面临的问题,在此基础上,作者结合教学实践,论述了尝试进行报刊英语教学的新方法。Learning newspaper English is important to general language competence, so the ability to read and understand newspapers can be seen to support successful second language acquisition. This paper reviews difficulties that adult students encounter in learning, and points out problems that teachers face in the classroom. On the basis of the review, the paper describes various approaches to teaching news English and provides a rationale for an integrated approach to teaching news English in the adult higher education classroom.
