摘　　要：美育是全面发展教育的重要组成部分,在英美文学课程教学中加强美育有其必要性。英美文学课教师应坚守 自己的阵地,充分利用英美文学作品在美育方面的优势,对学生进行以思想美、形象美、艺术美、自然美为主要内容的与 时俱进的美育,帮助学生形成正确的审美观点和高品位的审美能力。Aesthetic education is an important part of full development education. It＇s necessary to strengthen aesthetic education in English and American literature teaching. English and American literature teachers should stick to their positions and make full use of advantages of English and American literature in aesthetic education to give aesthetic education to students with beauty of ideology, beauty of image, beauty of art and beauty of nature as the main contents and help students to form correct aesthetic values and good aesthetic abilities
