摘　　要：本文深入分析了普通高校函授站的基本性质:法律的代理性质、教育的育人性质和社会的服务性质及其相互关系,探讨了这种性质规定下函授站的行为边界,认为函授站应该确定轮廓清晰而有一定弹性的边界,并进一步分析了函授站的地域性、短期性、依赖性、灵活性和矛盾性的基本特征。This paper makes a thorough analysis of the basic natures of the correspondence schools in universities, i.e. acting as an agent in law, educating people and serving the society, as well as their interrelationships. It explores the correspondence schools＇ boundaries of behavior under the regulation of these natures. It holds that the boundaries of the correspondence schools should be clearly and flexibly set. The paper also discusses the basic characteristics of correspondence schools. They are regional, short-term, dependent, flexible and incompatible.
