摘 要:本文根据数理统计理论与方法,以背诵强度为影响因子,对背诵强度与英语学习成绩的相关性进行了跟踪性的研究。实验结果显示,背诵强度与英语学习成绩呈正相关(r=0.723);完成背诵任务次数与英语学习成绩相关图为一阶梯形曲线,显示背诵在英语学习中的效应呈阶梯状,即:对基础较差的学生,强化背诵最为必要,可显著提高英语学习成绩;而对基础达到一定程度的学生,一定的背诵强度与英语学习成绩无明显相关;但若坚持不懈,进一步增加背诵强度,英语学习成绩可在此平台上飞跃至更高平台。Based on the theory of Statistics, an experiment is reported in this paper to investigate the effects of recitation on the English learning of non English majors. The results show that recitation has a positive effect on English learning. A correlation study shows that there exists a positive correlation between the students' amount of recitation and their scores in English test with the correlation coefficient r =0. 723. The correlation graph of test scores with times of recitation shows a ladder-like effect of recitation on English learning, indicating that,for students with low scores, recitation helps English learning remarkably, and yet for students with average scores, medium intensity of recitation seems to have no influence on test scores. Much better scores can be achieved, however, if one persists in doing recitation with even higher intensity.
