摘　　要：本文主要讨论了人类总的认知图式及其与英语名词短语中形容词修饰语排序之间的关系,并由此指出：语言的语法形式是人的认知世界的反映。我们可以从描绘人的认知图式入手,找到一种新的英语语法解读机制。This article mainly discusses the general cognitive patterns of human beings as well as the relationship between such patterns and the linear procession of adjective modifiers of English noun phrases. It also concludes that grammatical patterns of languages are the revelation of human cognition and that we can set up a new explanative mechanism for English grammar by establishing an overall human cognitive pattern.
