摘　　要：在翻译英语成语时,应以现代符号语义学理论为指导,力争做到最大限度的等值。这就需要正确的理解和恰当的翻译技巧的运用。The translation of English idioms should be guided by modem semiotic-semantic theory, so as to achieve the greatest equivalence. This needs the correct understanding of the idioms and the proper application of translation skills.
