摘  要:“过犹不及”旨在反对“过”这一将道德修养推向极端的错误倾向,用以强调在道德修养中,应该警惕与防止道德极端主义的危害。作为德性规范,它极具意义和价值。但作为思想方法,它并不能与“中庸”相等同,也不是它的主要内容。错误理解“过犹不及”导致对“中庸”的错误认识,从而使折衷主义能够以“中庸”的名义大行其道,“乡原”就是它的主要表现类型。Abstract:" Going too far is equal to not going far enough". Its aim is to oppose the wrong tendency "going too far". In moral training, it prevents us from "going too far" , warning us against ultraism. As a moral regulation, it is very meaningful and valua- ble. But as an ideological mothed, it can't be equal to "the golden mean". Understanding it wrong leads to understand "the golden mean" wrong. In the form of "the golden mean", eclecticism flourishes," Xiangyuan" is the main form.
