摘 要:Halliday的系统功能语言学理论可以用来揭示语篇的深层含义,可以用来理解和解释语篇的语义和文体特点,这一点不仅对于阐释和赏析诸类语篇至关重要,而且也对英语教学有着实际的应用价值;系统功能语言学理论“语篇—语境—评析”模式用来分析语篇是行之有效的。大学英语教师和学生应加强语篇分析知识的学习和培训,认真掌握功能语言学的精髓,提高理论水平和实际应用这些理论的能力,通过外语材料及表面现象,调动、发现、整理、推断深层信息的能动性,将社会文化、政治、经济、哲学、历史的内容纳入信息体系,丰富外语教学内容,活跃外语学习气氛,提高师生教与学的兴趣和积极性。This paper applies Halliday's systemic-functional linguistics theory and analyses the textual features,information structure and macro-context generally, including the levels of language and their realization relationships, the systems of the three meta-functions and their sub-metafunctions. And the author emphasizes the importance of English Teaching from the macro-angle, taking the textual structure as the basic unit, keeping a foothold on the general concept, and analyses the textual types& understands or summarizes them. Using the analytical method of " text-context-commentary", the purpose being to elaborate on the applicability of this linguistic theory to discourse analysis. Therefore the true essence of language teaching developing the competence in having a good command of foreign language will be reflected fully.
