摘　　要：文章通过对前人有关连贯定义的综述,从文化语境、情景语境和认知与心理模式三个变量对连贯重新定义。在此基础上,从翻译的角度出发,以翻译就是在目标语中对连贯的重新构建为前提,使译文中重建连贯的困难明晰化。This paper makes a thorough comment on the present definitions of coherence, and then re -defines what coherence is in terms of culture, situation, and cognitive and mental model. Based on this definition, with the presupposition that translation is the reconstruction of coherence in the target language, this paper also clarifies the constraints of coherence reconstruction.
