摘　　要：本文旨在阐述书法艺术的美学特征和美学构成及其所独有的芬芳和魅力,以及传承和发扬这门古老的艺术以及素质教育视野下的书法教育所具有的基本功能——传统文化教育功能、德育教化功能、益智功能和审美功能,论证必须重视书法教育,建立科学、系统化的现代书法教育体系。Chinese calligraphy, the cream of the Chinese nation＇ s culture which has an over-thousand-years-history is of a distinctive aesthetics character. It contains the natural spiritual and aesthetic conceptions and reflects the yearning for the harmony between human beings and nature. The essay aims to expound the aesthetics character and formation of calligraphy, especially the unique glamour, hoping not only to pass on but also develop the old art and the fundamental functions-to educate as a tradition, to enlighten in ethics ,to develop intelligence and to appreciate the beauty. The essay demonstrates the importance of attaching attention to teaching of calligraphy and building of a scientific,systematic and modem calligraphy-teaching style.
