摘　　要：语言与文化密不可分。在外语教学中既要重视对目的语文化背景知识的介绍,也不可忽略对母语文化的传播。在英语教学中应注意中西文化输入平衡,提高学生双向的而非单向的跨文化交际能力。Language has close relation to culture, whence it is important to introduce the cultural knowledge of both target language and native language in foreign language teaching and learning. The paper proposes that more Chinese cultural knowledge should be presented in English in order to improve learners＂ ability of ＂two idea＂ cross culture communication.
