摘　　要：英汉翻译是一种跨语言和跨文化的交流,它牵涉到很多语用的问题。对这些问题的解决可以减弱英汉翻译中出现的语言和文化差异。语用可以解释我们在翻译中所碰到的种种难题,而这些难题是传统的语言学理论所解决不了的。我们把翻译和语用结合起来,就是为了找到翻译的新路子,为翻译理论开辟新的阵地,注入新的活力。English-Chinese translation is a cross language and cross culture communication which involves many pragmatic problems. A solution to these problems will diminish those language and cultural differences occurring in English-Chinese translation. Pragmatics is able to explain various translation problems that can not explained by traditional linguistic theories. If we link translation study with pragmatics, we will find many new ways in translation, thus opening up a new font for and pouring vitality into translation theory.
