摘　　要：TEM4主要测试英语专业低年级学生的综合语言知识和技能。要培养和提高学生综合应用语言的能力,教师应积极引导学生摆正综合能力培养和TEM4之间的关系,指导学生学会应用英语学习策略,同时要为学生选择理想的教材,自编考试题库,并组织学生开展丰富多彩的英语实践活动等。TEM4 is a test to test the students＇ comprehensive competence of using the language. Based on the teaching practice in an Integrated English Course, the paper tries to explore how teachers can help the students take the right attitude towards TEM4 and develop comprehensive language competence. The paper focuses on some effective ways of developing this competence.
