摘　　要：文章从语用学的基本理论出发,结合翻译的交际特性,分析了语用对等理论在翻译实际中的重要性。以此理论分析为依托,对《红楼梦》杨宪益版译本中的习语翻译进行了分析研究,阐释了其产生的效果并总结了杨宪益所使用的翻译方法。旨在通过这种分析,探讨习语翻译中重视语用对等的必要性。The importance of pragmatic equivalence in translation is analyzed through the discussion of the theories of pragmatics combined with the communicative character of translation, On the basis of such analysis, this article makes a research in the translation of idioms in the Yang＇s version, and expatiates the effect made by such translation, and concludes the translation methods adopted by Yang Hsien-Yi. This research aims at discussing the importance of emphasizing pragmatic equivalence in the translation of idioms.
