摘 要:本研究考察依托式外语教学在我国大学英语教学中的效果。研究采用常规的大学英语教学班级与实行依托式外语教学班级进行对比的方法,发现实施依托式外语教学对学生学习英语的动机和学习策略产生了影响,使学生更为主动地应用英语。在实验结束时,实验组的语言能力总体上优于对照组,特别是阅读能力。但对于英语水平较差的学生,依托式外语教学对其语言水平的提高作用不明显。Content-based instruction (CBI) has invited global attention as a new paradigm in foreign language teaching practice. This study tentatively investigated the efficacy of CBI in facilitating Chinese EFL learners' acquisition of English in the tertiary institution. A comparative study was done between the control group with regular College English teaching method and treatment group with CBI. It was revealed that the students in the treatment group were more highly motivated and more active in using English to communicate. Meanwhile, the treatment group gained higher language proficiency as compared to the control group, especially in reading. It can be concluded that CBI can display its irreplaceable advantages in the Chinese College English context if necessary conditions are satisfied.
