摘　　要：网络环境下大学英语教师角色的转变既有其教育学、语言学理据,也是新形势下教学实践提出的新要求。网络教学模式客观上要求英语教师转变为意义建构促进者,语言知识结构和教学内容改造者,教学资源整合者,语言知识、技能和方法习得的导学者等角色。The pedagogical and linguistic theories have paved way for the college English teachers＇ role transfer in the Web-based English teaching setting. It is also a new requirement of the changed teaching and learning environment in which college English teachers have to function as facilitator of meaning construction, reformer of language knowledge, synthesizer of teaching resources and guide of language acqui-sition process.
