摘　　要：语言学习策略是第二语言习得研究的一个重要方面。元认知策略是学习策略的一种。在国内外相关文献研究的基础上,阐述了元认知策略的内涵和英语阅读的本质。结合问卷调查,探讨了元认知策略的使用与英语阅读理解能力之间的关系,并对如何在英语阅读中运用元认知策略提出建议。Language learning strategy is an very important aspect in the study of second language acquisition. Metacognitive strategy is one of learning strategies. Based on the study of the relevant literature home and abroad and the questionnaire research done by the authors, the paper expounds the connotation of metacognitive strategy and the nature of reading. Then it analyzes and discusses the relationship between metacognitive strategies and English reading. Finally it proposes applying metacognitive strategies to English reading .
