摘  要:着重分析了"合并升本"院校大学英语师资队伍的现状及教师所面临的各种挑战:1.社会英语热;2.双语教学;3.现代网络技术的发展对大学英语教学的挑战。应采取的几点对策:1.英语教师应更新观念,提高综合素质水平。2.充实完善英语学科和跨学科知识结构。3.强化科研意识及培养自己的科研兴趣等。建议"新升本"大学英语教师应努力提高自己的科研能力,使自己从经验型教书匠转变成科研学者型的适应知识经济时代要求的具有全新教育理念且综合素质过硬的新型大学英语教师。This paper mainly analyzes the present situation and challenges faced by the English teachers in combined colleges: 1. popularity of English in China. 2. bilingual teaching. 3. development of the internet technology in English teaching. Here are some specific strategies: 1. English teachers have to change their educational philosophy and improve their own overall qualities. 2. enrich and perfect their composition of knowledge in their own discipline and other cross-disciplines. 3. strengthen their research awareness and breed their research interest. English teachers should enhance their capacity in scientific research and they have to undergo the transformation from experience-based craftsmen teachers into research-based scholar teachers with new educational philosophy and high comprehensive quality to meet the requirement of the age of knowledge economy.
