摘 要:英语学习词典的开拓者在上世纪20年代后期就开始关注搭配问题,但第一代英语学习词典并未将提供搭配信息作为词典的设计特征,计算机时代出版的第二代学习词典一般以黑体标识搭配,但所提供的搭配信息既不详细,也不系统。本文论证,对于英语学习者而言,搭配的重要性不亚于语法,下一代学习词典将以对搭配信息的详细、系统处理作为新的设计特征。文章详细介绍了作者所设计的英汉高阶英语学习词典搭配信息的编排原则和办法。The first generation of English learner's dictionaries did not adopt the provision of information about collocations as one of their design features.The second generation of learner's dictionaries published in the computer age generally mark collocations in bold,but the collocational information they provide is neither detailed nor systematic.The article argues that to learners of English as a foreign language,collocation is no less important than grammar and that the next generation of learner's dictionaries shall have the new design feature of providing detailed and systematic information about collocations.The article describes in details the editorial principles and methods for the provision of collocation information for the compilation of an English-Chinese dictionary.A new collocation information retrieval system is designed which is based on a reclassification of the syntactic structures of collocations.
