摘　　要：迈克尔·翁达杰的《身着狮皮》取材于历史史料。本文试图从新历史主义的角度对其进行解读,旨在发掘作家是如何处理历史文本和文学文本之间的复杂关系,为死寂的历史文本注入文学文本的生气,从而成功地创作了一部不同于殖民话语拥有者所书写的另一部加拿大历史。As a novel based on historical documents, In the Skin of a Lion has been internationally recognized as a piece of important work in the post-colonial world. Taking the perspective provided by New Historicism, the thesis attempts tO analyze the way in which the novel tackles the complex relationship between historical texts and their literary counterparts and how the goal of writing another history different from the authorized version is suocessfully achieved.
