摘　　要：国内外语言学家的研究证明,大量阅读对于培养学生的第二语言能力、扩大学生的词汇量、增加文化背景知识都具有十分重要的作用。笔者通过对少数民族中学生汉语课外阅读情况的调查,初步了解了他们在课外阅读时间、阅读方法、阅读目的及课外阅读材料的选择等方面的情况,并就如何开展课外阅读提出了相应对策。Extensive reading may facilitate the second language competence, enlarge students＇ vocabulary size, and build the background cultural knowledge. The author of the essay did a survey for the extracurricular-reading so as to know the general situation of the time allocation, methods, choice of reading material, and purpose of reading among minority middle school students, providing some suggestions for those students to read more effectively.
