摘　　要：探讨了隐喻和虚拟空间的关系,认为互为载体,互为表现手段,具有相近的语用功能。在此基础上分析了西方神话、浪漫主义文学及现代派文学对隐喻与虚拟空间的运用,并阐明了虚拟空间在日常语言中的功能。This paper probes into the relationship between metaphor and cognitive space, arguing they perform similar pragmatic function and act as mutual carrier and means of expression. The use of metaphor and cognitive space in western mythology, romantic literature and modern literature and the functions of cognitive space in daily communication are discussed.
