摘　　要：文章以2006年北京市大学英语教学改革立项课题《高职学生英语学习策略调查与教学对策研究》的调查结果为依据,阐述了培养学习者学习策略特别是培养元认知策略的重要性,同时也阐述了通过元认知策略的培养来促进学生个性化自主学习的必要性并探索形成学生自主学习能力的有效途径。Language acquisition is a task lasting all the learner＇s life and learner autonomy is one of the important objectives of college English teaching. It is essential for students to learn meta-cognitive strategies. This article mainly states the necessities and the significance of meta-cognitive strategies in learner autonomy based on some data from a research of educational reform project.
