摘 要:本研究通过问卷调查、课堂观察与半开放型访谈相结合的方法,调查了我国英语专业学生的英语口头交际意愿和影响交际意愿的因素。主要发现有:(1)总体来说,受试对自己的交际能力评价较低,交际意愿不高;(2)虽然交际能力自评与交际意愿显著相关,但在日常生活情境中交际意愿显著高于能力自评,而在课堂交际情境中能力自评显著高于交际意愿;(3)长期负面的课堂学习经历造成受试外语交际自信低下,并逐步成为其个性特质;(4)具体课堂交际场合中影响交际意愿的主要因素是交谈者、交谈话题和交谈情景,而确定交际意愿的心理前因则是安全感和兴奋感。此外,本文还在考察这些因素之间关系的基础上尝试建立了我国外语课堂环境下交际意愿形成模式。Adopting a method that combines questionnaire survey,classroom observation and semi-structured interview,the present study investigated the Chinese English majors' willingness to communicate(WTC)and the variables influencing their WTC.The major findings are:(1)the learners' self-perceived communicative competence(SPCC)and WTC were generally low;(2)although there was a significant correlation between SPCC and WTC,the learners' WTC was significantly higher than SPCC in daily communicative situations,but lower than SPCC in classroom communicative situations;(3)due to negative learning experiences in the classroom setting,the learners generally developed a trait-like low L2 confidence;and(4)the major situational variables influencing learners' WTC during classroom interactions are interlocutor,topic,and conversational context,and the psychological antecedents to situational WTC are mainly security and excitement.Based on a close examination of the relationships among these variables,a preliminary model of the emergence of WTC in the Chinese foreign language classroom setting is established.
