摘　　要：传统意义上的语法翻译法存在严重缺陷,教育界围绕是否有必要在英语专业开设语法课的问题以及专业语法教学的改革问题,一直存有不同的意见。就语法教学的必要性和语法教学模式问题提出了一些看法,认为语法教学的必要性不容否定、语法教学改革势在必行,并对如何改革语法教学模式进行了详细的探讨。the grammatical translation method in the traditional sense has serious defects. The educations circle has different opinions about whether it is necessary to have grammatical course for English majors and reform the grammatical teaching. This paper puts forward some views about the necessity of grammatical teaching and the grammatical teaching model, holding the view that the necessity of grammatical teaching can not be negated and that the reform of grammatical teaching is inevitable. It discusses how to reform the grammatical teaching model in detail.
